Leh Ladakh Bike Tour: Different route package

Overview

Every committed rider wants to make a trip in the challenging Ladakh hills. Only a few months of the year sees roads being opened. Manali-Leh is a highway that connects the lower Himalayan region with the high-altitude Ladakh area. You will be passing through seven of the highest passes in the world on your excursion. 

This tour is packed with amazing adventures that will amaze you. The allure of the wide road and the intrigue of the unknown. In the next 12 days there will be many changes to the climate, the environment and the civilisations. You’ll feel like you’re in paradise when you see mountains covered in snow and waterfalls, lakes, deserts, and lakes. Take it easy, and take in the views.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Manali to Delhi

Day 2: Manali

You can shop at the nearby markets and enjoy leisurely activities.

Day 3: Jispa – Manali

This morning, you will travel 140 km from Manali to Jispa. Awestruck by the Himalayan beauty when we reach Rohtang Pass (3978m). The most amazing biking experience as you ride through thick vegetation in a beautiful valley. Cross the first mountain and continue your ride following the Chandra river to reach the Lahaul valley. From there, you will arrive in Jispa at the afternoon (3,200m).

Day 4: Jispa – Sarchu

When you head for Baralacha Pass (4900m) in the morning, your vehicles will be fully charged. The Zanskar Range is the highest mountain pass in the Zanskar Range. It is often covered with snow. We’ll be reaching Sarchu (4300m) in the early hours of the evening. Sarchu’s vast plateau is martian-like.

Day 5: Leh – Sarchu

Today will be an unforgettable day for you all as we cross three passes including the second highest in the world. We get in the car as soon as the sun rises. You can reach the Nakila Passes and Lachungla Passes by climbing through the 21 hairpin curves on the Gata Loop. In the afternoon, you will stop at Pang for lunch and refreshments. Before ascending to Tanglang La Pass at 5328m, you will see 50 km of flatlands.

Day 6: Local Sightseeing at Leh

You should take today to relax, explore, enjoy Leh. Shanti Stupa will be visited, as well as the monasteries nearby. It is hard to describe the beauty and architecture of Shanti Stupa. We can see all of Leh Ladakh because of the Shanti Stupa’s elevation. At night, you might walk through Leh’s bustling bazaar.

Day 7: Nubra – Leh

Today’s first task is to get to the Khardungla Pass (55359m), 40 km from Leh. It is the highest motorable pass anywhere in the world. Then, we will enter the Nubra valley. The high-altitude desert will remain your home. It is breathtakingly beautiful, with the dunes and desert landscape. Remember the Bactrian camel, which has two bumps.

Day 8: Pangong to Nubra

Travel to Pangong Lake in the morning. You will continue traveling on the Agham Shyok Road together to reach the Shyok river. You might need to cross significant water along the route. Reach Pangong Lake (4250m), also known by Pangong Tso which is a high-grassland lake. It takes six hours to get there. This region of India is unique in its beauty. Its beauty, tranquility, quietness and solitude give it a unique charm. China accounts for 60% of the lake’s length (134 km) and width (5 km).

Day 9: Leh – Pangong

You will feel extremely fortunate when you have the most beautiful morning of your life. If you are brave enough, you can swim in it. We will ride back to Leh around noon, crossing Changla Pass (5300m), which is the third highest motorable pass in the country. It is very difficult to cross Changla Pass because of its steepest elevation and large torrents.

Day 10: Jispa – Leh Ladakh

You should start moving towards the Leh-Manali highway early in the morning. It will take you 8-10 hours to complete the journey today. After lunch at Pang, we will continue to Manali.

Day 11: Delhi and Manali, Jispa (overnight Volvo)

We are now ready to return to the place we left after sunrise. We’ll stop at Sisu Lake, and Palam Dhara Falls along the way.

Tips for Travel

  • Bring a raincoat or waterproof clothing with you on your bike tour.
  • Gumboots and any other water-resistant footwear. These shoes are also available in Manali.
  • Permits for two-wheeler driving
  • Warm and bulky winter clothing.
  • Use a small, dry bag to carry your electronics.
  • Waterproof gloves, sunscreen cream, and sun protection eyewear are all available.
  • Common cold, first aid kit, fever medication, as well painkillers
  • High-altitude sickness can be helped by sweets and chocolates.
